Bacon is considered as one of the favorite and must-to-have food item in most of the people.Cooking bacon in the microwave and frying the bacon is the fastest way to have it on the breakfast table but if you are interested in eating bacons that have perfect balance of crispy and chewy texture and would like to have the genuine flavor of bacon then you must bake it in the oven.
Getting them cooked in the oven is the best way to have it done without any mess.
- Bacon and oil (for simple baking)
- Bacon, ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ cup brown sugar for making candied bacon

– InstrutFirst you line the baking sheet with foil. Then put the bacon slices on the foil and put the baking sheet in the center rack of the oven. Put on the oven to 400 F. cook it for 17-20 minutes or till it becomes golden brown. Do not bake the bacon more because it will become excessive crisp. The exact time to bake the bacon pieces in the oven depends on the thickness of the bacon slices.
Remove the bacon from the pan and place it on the paper towels so that the grease is soaked by the towel and there is no mess around. Now you baked bacon is ready to eat. You can store it for further use also.
For preparing the candied oven, preheat the oven to 325 F. In a small bowl, combine pepper and sugar and beat it. Now put the bacon in the bowl and toss it using two forks so that it gets completely coated in the mixture. Put the bacon slices on the baking sheet and before doing so cove the baking sheet with aluminum foil. Now sprinkle the leftover sugar on the top of the bacon. Now cover the bacon with another sheet of aluminum foil. Take another baking pan to keep it on the top of the bacon so that it could press them while it is getting cooked. Cook for about 15 minutes. Remove the bacon when it becomes crispy and brown.
